“Print” Your Dream House

“Print” Your Dream House:
Amazing advancements have been made in 3D-printing technology, but designer Sebastian Bertram has taken it a step further, expanding the capabilities of 3D printing to large-scale 3D building. The Contour aims to keep up with demand for housing in urban areas with aconstruction method that combines industrial production and the technique of rapid prototyping. The robot “prints” contours of a building shell layer by layer using fast-drying concrete. Within just a couple of weeks, an entire estate could be produced.

Maybe it’s because of Breaking Bad, but lately I’m fascinated by chemistry. I wish I had a teacher as cool as Michigan State University professor Peter Hunter when I was in high school. Watch him demonstrate these amazing reactions on video.
Professor Hunter demonstrated them last year to high school students — after their tests for the Chemistry Olympiad Competition. He ...

Australia’s Memjet Inventors In US Battle Over Next-Gen Printing Technology

Australia’s Memjet Inventors In US Battle Over Next-Gen Printing Technology:
Thumbnail
I first covered Memjet back in 2007, when Sydney-based Silverbrook Research unveiled a decade-long project: revolutionary inkjet speeds thanks to a single pass page-width printhead. And it wasn’t a hoax after all: working prototypes spitting out 60ppm were shown at CES 2009, and again in recent years. But now – just weeks before Memjet is set to appear at the world’s largest printing show ...

The thing about barbarians is they like to kill stuff and, after the events of Diablo 2, the barbarians have scattered and lost their will to fight. With Diablo's return, one has found it's never been a better time to have a dry blade. Good hunting!

Introducing Gmail Tap

Introducing Gmail Tap: Posted by Reed Morse, Software Engineer

The QWERTY keyboard was invented in 1874 and yet it is still used today, largely unchanged. Today we're excited to introduce a new input method designed for the future: Gmail Tap for Android and iOS. Watch the video for an overview:

Gmail Tap takes the keyboard from 26 keys to just two. Every letter of the alphabet is represented by a simple pattern of dots and dashes, and once you know them you can type without even looking at your screen. This makes it ideal for situations where you need to discreetly send emails, such as when you're on a date or in a meeting with your boss.

We're also introducing a new mode, multi-email. Double your productivity by typing multiple emails at once:

To get started with Gmail Tap, head over to our informational page and watch our video. Then let us know what you think on Google+.
